Mamas get together to share faith, food, and laughter. At our meetings we will focus on fellowship and connection, discussing topics that are important to moms, and hearing inspiring speakers. While moms are in the MOPS/Moms Next meeting, their children are cared for in the MOPS KIDS program.
There’s nothing little about a mom’s impact!
We are mothers, and we believe that better moms make a better world. For nearly 40 years, more than one million moms have met in MOPS groups to share in the joys and challenges of motherhood. MOPS is a non-denominational organization that exists to build communities and create a space for mamas to support each other and take time to enrich our lives as women, wives, mothers, and friends.
To learn more about its values and the national organization, check out the MOPS International website.
What to expect at a MOPS/Moms Next meeting
We understand it can be stressful to be the new person! We want to ease your concerns, so here’s an idea of what you’ll experience when you attend a MOPS/Moms Next meeting:
Arrival:
Enter Door 2 (main entry way, left doors). We meet in the South Gathering area of Word Of Peace Church.
Check in at the Welcome Table, where there are name tags for you and your children.
Drop off food (if it's your turn to bring something) and take your children to their designated MOPS KIDS rooms.
Meeting:
Now it’s your time Mama! The meeting starts with announcements, a devotion, and sometimes an icebreaker.
During the meeting, we enjoy a simple brunch together (2-3 moms volunteer to bring something to share each time).
Most weeks we'll hear from a guest speaker, watch a video and discuss, or do something creative/fun together.
We end the meeting by helping to clean up and picking up our kids.
Our Time Line:
9:15-9:25: Check in and drop kids off in their rooms
